threewalls is hosting their annual gala just as spring is finally among us, this Friday night, May 20. The flowers blooming, the trees sprouting leaves of green and people are out soaking up the rays and relaxing. In honor of this celebratory season threewalls is hosting an evening in honor of Vie De Boheme (The Bohemian Life) at Maxim’s in the city's Gold Coast. If you haven't had the chance to go to Maxim's, don't miss out. It's a little secret of our city - created decades ago by Nancy Goldberg to recall the famous Maxim's de Paris (in where else, Paris.) She eventually gave Maxim's to the City of Chicago, and it's currently a private event space like no other in the area. Like last year's benefit at The Library downtown, this party is your chance to be transported to another time, even another mindset.
Friday night will be a celebration of music, art and fashion from 20th century Bohemia. Entertainment will feature, fortunetellers, poets, dancers, hypnotists – and radicals! Thematic dress is highly encouraged (really, do you want to show up in your work outfit to a venue dedicated to the height of Art Deco in Paris?) so come out in your best bohemian dress! There will be cabaret by Trandroid and Sarah Cronin the Barbarian, Music by The Tiny Cover band, Marc Riordan, Chuck Buttons, David More, Chris Hefner and Elizabeth Isakson.
