by Genevieve 26. July 2012 15:24

The Art Center at Highland Park (TAC) will be hosting its 24th annual Gogh Green! Recycled Art Sale starting Fri., July 27 and lasting until August 16. The pre-owned pieces for sale--which include ceramics, art glass, sculptures, jewelry, paintings, prints and more--are being re-sold to help raise money for TAC's Art School Scholarship Fund.

It'll all kick off starting at 6pm on the 27th in a special opening that includes a live silent auction and the chance to be one of the firsts to buy pieces of donated art. Thousands of items have been donated thus far, including a 400-piece donation from the art collection of Baxter International. The University of Chicago has also donated a wide-array of early American wood furnished furniture; Baxter's collection and UofC's furniture are some of the leading highlights of this year's sale, according to a TAC press release.

Tickets are selling for $50 in advance and $65 at the door. A light dinner and drinks are included with each ticket.

TAC is situated in Highland Park, IL on 1957 Sheridan Road. Hours for Gogh Green! are Monday-Saturday, 9am-4pm and will be open to the public. Check out TAC's website for more information.

The following is sponsor information, per TAC's website:

[TAC website: *TAC student scholarships will be given in your name: 2 at the Van Gogh level, 1 at the Connoisseur level. *Gift card usage is on a minimum purchase of $100.
All proceeds benefit TAC's art education programs. $30.00 of ticket cost is tax deductible by law.]
