Contact ArchiTech Gallery about a new book out in June, Alfonso Iannelli - Modern By Design, written by gallery owner David Jameson. Foreword by Tim Samuelson.
A corresponding exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center, Modernism's Messengers: The Art of Alfonso and Margaret Iannelli - 1908 to 1965, is on view May 18-August 17.
Iannelli, after working as a sculptor for Frank Lloyd Wright on one of his most important structures, became very famous during the teens, twenties and thirties. After the war, he was forgotten.
This story, gleaned from reading his studio files over several years, tells of a Renaissance artist lost in the 20th Century. |

Out of Darkness Comes Light
A group exhibition of 7 international artists who brilliantly embody the power of light, nature, and connectivity. The show consists of contemporary artists working in photography, sculpture, painting and mixed media. Featured work will include photographic light boxes and mixed media by Patti Bartelstein, mixed media sculptures by Jill King, Japanese rice paper wall-sculptures by Allison Svoboda, outstanding Kirlian Photography work by Paul den Hollander, breathtaking analog photography work by Justin Maxon, mixed media by Jose Romussi, and spectacular poetic paintings by Marco Nereo Rotelli.
In addition to our fine arts, our liberal arts program will be featuring Steve Pemberton, an inspirational speaker and author of the critically acclaimed book, "A chance in the World."
