Open House Artist’s Conversation Saturday

Bert Green Fine Art is pleased to present our first solo show by Chicago-based Industry of the Ordinary.

Industry of the Ordinary is a collaborative project of Adam Brooks and Mathew Wilson, who for over 20 years have used performance, installation, objects, and interventions to explore and celebrate “ordinariness” and to challenge and elevate the everyday experience into an endeavor worthy of study and veneration.

This exhibition will include a number of works spanning the history of Industry of the Ordinary, including “Ghost of the Real,” a site-specific installation of wall text and accompanying book based upon hundreds of conversations with an AI. Exclusively for this show, Bert Green Fine Art has published a print, “Disclaimer,” which recycles text that has been used repeatedly in multiple Industry of the Ordinary projects.
