Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is pleased to present its 2nd Midwest Open, an exhibition juried by Amy Galpin, who selected works by 35 artists from eight Midwest states.  

In her juror statement, Amy Galpin notes: “I strove for a multidisciplinary exhibition with artists engaged in myriad visual languages. Ceramics and woodworking are shown alongside painting and photography. From Monica Brown’s focused abstractions to Lily Mayfield’s poetic but not overly sentimental photographs of her family, there is much to engage with in this exhibition. There is often an over-emphasis on art produced on the coasts, and this exhibition reminds us of the many talented artists working in the Midwest region of the United States.”
