At The Center for Visual and Performing Arts
Join us for an artist talk in the Main Gallery, THIS Saturday, February 8 at 2:30pm. Hear from several artists featured in the exhibit and learn about their creative process and the stories behind their artwork.
After Sargent is an exploration of contemporary painters, draftspersons, and sculptors who have carried on, challenged, furthered, and broken the tradition of American painter John Singer Sargent (1856-1925).
Featuring works by Alicia Dawn Criswell, Chelsea Lang, Clayton J. Beck III, Don Yang, Jessica Smit Mattingly, Mary Qian, Peter Lupkin, Tina Figarelli, and William Blake, this exhibit offers an opportunity to reflect on how Sargent's legacy carries on and changes.
