AJ Ainscough: Back Outside

Vertical Gallery is excited to present AJ Ainscough’s first solo exhibition! ‘Back Outside’ will run August 13 – September 4 at our Vertical Project Space location.

AJ Ainscough is a Chicago-based artist known for his witty and graphically complex paintings, featuring an array of original characters. Ainscough’s cartoonesque figures are used as a tool of exploring the highs, lows, and in-betweens life throws at everyone. His works explore the possibilities and potential of his characters through the use of stories that emulate universal feelings; a cocktail of chaos with tongue-in-cheek, light-hearted humor.

AJ’s work has been featured in group shows in Chicago, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Los Angeles.
