Bernd Haussmann and Scott Ingram: Line Dance

Anne Loucks Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of our new exhibition, Bernd Haussmann and Scott Ingram: Line Dance. The show includes 25 works by the artists, highlighting their distinct processes exploring line, gesture, color and movement.

Bernd Haussmann's paintings are built up layer by layer using varied hues and imagery.  Organic forms, lines, and marks transcend his textured surfaces, hinting at something deeper beneath each layer. Scott Ingram’s nail polish works reflect his interest in the Minimalist tradition of line drawing. With the aid of gravity and a certain element of chance, Ingram’s smooth, color saturated lines spontaneously move to define the white space of his compositions.
