Chicago Textile Week presents Deep, Far, Home, a group exhibition of textile and multimedia artists with ties to the city. These contemporary artists’ works explore crisscrossing themes of deep time, primordial chaos, cosmic distance and personal intimacy. Participating artists include Lucia Calderon Arrieta, Justin Chance, Diana Gabriel, Caroline Lee Liu, Olive Stefanski and Vanessa Viruet. Curated by John Harness, formerly of The Condo Association.

Presented in conjunction with Deep, Far, Home, dancer and artist Irene Hsiao will perform a new work inspired by the show on Friday, Sept. 24. Check back for details on how to pre-register for this performance. Additionally, samples of new upholstery designs by winners of the 2021 Chicago Textile Week Design Call will be on display throughout the exhibition.
