Written by Jerry Siegel and drawn by Joe Shuster, it features the first appearance and origin of Superman as well as the first appearance of perennial love interest Lois Lane and heroic magician Zatara. This book launched the Golden Age of Comics, created the superhero genre, and marks a major moment in the history of publishing, film and tv.
