Create-a-Country Family Day: Making Money

FREE, drop-in. Art-making supplies and other materials are provided. Family programs are best for kids 4–12, but all ages are welcomed! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Join us for the continuation of the Smart Museum of Art’s series of “Create-a-Country” Family Days! Dream, vision, and build imaginary countries, designed by kids and inspired by ideas and artworks presented throughout the galleries this spring.

This Saturday, make your own money! Create metal coins and wearable copper currency inspired by ancient Babylonian coil currency. Then, design and draw your own dollar bills, paper money to play with and exchange with your friends, and participate in Mel Chin's Fundred project as well.
