Come view the exhibition Hubcap Diamond Star Halo: Corbett vs. Dempsey at Twenty, in special extended hours as part of the second annual Chicago Gallery Weekend. 

At 6pm, CvsD co-founders John Corbett and Jim Dempsey will "walk the wall," providing a guided tour of the 34 works on the salon style wall in the main show, from a 1940 Richard Koppe watercolor to a brand new Molly Zuckerman-Hartung canvas. This walk-through, laced with anecdotes and historical tidbits, will provide an overarching view of the gallery's activities over the last two decades. Corbett and Dempsey will also discuss the North Gallery show, Weird Old Chicago, which presents a selection of wonderfully eccentric works from the 1940s and '50s, a period dear to the gallery and still less well understood than it should be.
