David presents over 100 small paintings on floppy disks, floating among each other the way memories indiscriminately hang in our minds playing hide and seek with us. In an era where big and fast is the dominant form, David Gista’s Mini Memories demonstrates that small and slow is a valid norm.  As AI shows up in our rearview mirror, David Gista’s small paintings emphasize human intelligence and emotions.

In this series, David questions the possibility of art saving our world by embellishing it, making it more...Human. A bit like the plant or the flower that is going to grow in the cracks of concrete making a statement of resilience, he’s picking the battle of David against Goliath and hoping for the best.
