This workshop and reception engage the themes of Monochrome Multitudes as catalyst for discussion with Smart Museum thought partners and community members. The evening program and exhibition serve as a “welcoming table” for dialogue around issues of art access, community engagement, and belonging.
In addition to cocktails and monochromatic bites, the evening also includes in-gallery performances of color-corresponding monologues from the choreopoem For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow is Enuff by Ntozake Shange.
FREE, but space is very limited. In addition to invited thought partners, a limited number of seats will be available to the public. Advanced registration is required. RSVP info will be available soon.
