FAKE REAL considers the current environment regarding fact and fiction, and how difficult it can be to ascertain the truth. What is the truth? Which facts can you believe? Finding answers can be daunting. Determining reality is a pressing issue all over the world today, affecting every aspect of our lives; from elections to climate change, and even the truth behind our social media personas.
All of the artists included in FAKE REAL attempt to determine fact from fiction and end up creating their own form of reality in order to accommodate the multiple questions their work proposes. These artists encourage you to find your own truth.
The exhibiting artists are Cindy Bernhard, Stephen Eichhorn, Carson Fox, Jeffrey Grauel, Regin Igloria, Moises Salazar, Anne Yafi and Rodrigo Lara Zendejas.
Special thanks to Carrie Secrist Gallery.
