Darlene Bock | Pastel Paintings
Darlene Bock has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has earned Signature Status with the esteemed Pastel Society of America and the Chicago Pastel Painters. Over the last 15 years Darlene’s exquisite award-winning artwork has been juried into numerous prestigious national and international fine art competitions. She also shows her work in solo and group exhibitions in galleries throughout the Midwest. On View through May 15.
Janette Hill | Watercolor & Mixed Media Paintings
Janette Hill is an illustrator, graphic designer, and mixed media fine artist from Great Britain living and working in Kenosha WI who has always loved “putting marks on” any substrate. Janette is self-taught and works with a wide variety of subject matter and styles incuding children’s book illustration, photo realistic pet portraiture, and abstract work. Her artworks embody intense colors, organic repeated patterns, and hidden tiny details all of which draw the viewer in. Her Blue Moon exhibition of paintings feature her preferred mediums of watercolor, micron & acrylic pens and markers, and graphite. On View through May 15.
Kathleen Gallo | The Intimacy of Faces & Figures
Kathleen Gallo is a recent BFA graduate from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Her specialties include human anatomy, forensic art, post-mortem facial reconstructions from archival skulls, and the study of anthropology. Her preferred mediums are oil and graphite. She completed her first post-mortem facial-reconstruction at The New York Academy of Art and has created reconstructions for the Pima County Police, Penn Museum, Mutter Museum, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Images of her post-mortem facial reconstructions have been published in Expedition magazine and The New York Times. Continuing her focus on human beings, Kathleen’s Blue Moon exhibition presents an intimate collection of tonal oil paintings and graphite drawings featuring the inherent beauty of diverse faces and figures.
