We warmly invite you to engage with Mikki Kendall, the New York Times bestseller author of Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women that a Movement Forgot. Mikki Kendall is a writer, diversity consultant, and occasional feminist who speaks on intersectionality, policing, gender, sexual assault, and other current events. Mikki will share her ideas on resisting isolation as a critically engaged writer and artist involved in social movements. How creatives can work in collaboration with organizations to address issues like gun violence and hunger through the lens of hood feminism will also be discussed.
This presentation is in partnership with Columbia College Chicago's departments in Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Student Diversity & Inclusion, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, and Community Engagement.
