Horizons | Figuratives | Abstracts – Paintings by Amy O. Woodbury

Working in acrylic or mixed media, Amy paints and draws fantasy figures, abstract expanses of water or land, and portraits of imagined women. As a former modern dancer and choreographer, movement, intuition, color, shape, randomness, and restlessness all motivate her artwork which is characterized by a vibrant kineticism coupled with multi-layered textures and unique color palettes. She has been making visual art since 1998.

Amy's paintings have been exhibited throughout the Midwest & Southern Utah. Her paintings are also in the permanent collections of the Evanston Public Library, Big Shoulders Coffee, E2 Evanston, Niche 905 Chicago, Lighthouse Yoga and Dance Center Evanston.
