Join us at VSG Contemporary on February 15th for the opening of Tempest, a series of 13 new works by Jean Cate, Martha Mae Art Supplies and Beautiful Things and The Center of Order and Experimentation owner.

Jean's current work revolves around the theme of changing atmosphere, drawing inspiration from nature’s dramatic forces—especially clouds. Captivated by the sky, Jean sees it as a visual metaphor for mental and emotional cycles.

"For my upcoming show, I’ll be presenting Tempest, which reflects the stages of a storm—three families of paintings that come together as a trinity. I’m painting on raw birch panels using watercolor and gouache. Letting natural forces like water, air, and gravity shape the work."
