Joan Holleb creates unique large and small scale oil paintings on copper, feauring images of wooded areas, and various other landscape vistas. 

With deep insight and compelling aesthetic discernment, Joan Holleb employs her unique process of pouring patina on copper as a first step. Holleb then follows the suggestions of the resulting linear elements using oils, divining and building compositions that evoke ideas about order and structure in a seemingly chaotic natural world. A close examination of the detailed building blocks of each painting can truly lead to a revelatory visual experience.
