Lecture in Photography: Pixy Liao

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023 6–7 p.m., join us for a Lecture in Photography with Pixy Liao. The lecture will be held at 600 S. Michigan Ave, at Ferguson Hall. 

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Pixy Liao is an artist who currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Liao has participated in exhibitions internationally, including at the Fotografiska, Rencontres d’Arles in Arles, Asia Society, and the National Gallery of Australia.

She is a recipient of the NYFA Fellowship in photography, Santo Foundation Individual Artist Awards, Madame Figaro Women Photographers Award, En Foco’s New Works Fellowship, and others and has participated in multiple artist residencies. Liao holds an MFA in photography from the University of Memphis.

Lectures in Photography are co-presented by MoCP and the Photography Department at Columbia College Chicago.
