Let’s Talk About Art (65+)

Dec 9, 2024 - Dec 12, 2024

“Let’s Talk About Art” is a hybrid learning program for older adults (65+), combining virtual and in-person experiences. Participants will explore visual and performing arts, collaborate with Chicago art organizations, and create their own art inspired by exhibits and performances. This fall, “Let’s Talk About Art” focuses on the intersection of art and design, with participatory group visits to current exhibitions at the Chicago History Museum, DePaul Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Photography, and Hull House paired with lively discussions, Q&A sessions with experts, workshops and collaboration projects centered on exhibition themes. This series of programs is presented in partnership with Art Design Chicago, an initiative by the Terra Foundation for American Art, running through 2025, highlighting the voices and stories that define Chicago’s creative communities and fostering community engagement through art. Registration and full program schedule are online at hydeparkart.org/education/65plus.
