Anne Loucks Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Spring Forward, a new exhibition in our Winnetka gallery featuring Georgia artist, Liz Barber. Barber's paintings convey nature in a distinct, vibrant style. Her work is inspired by water and other natural elements, as well as memory and emotion. Organic forms and shapes flow through her canvases, capturing movement and translucent light. With loose, textured brush strokes and a fresh palette, she creates windows of light using layers of paint, ink, oil pastel and graphite. Her spontaneous use of lines, shapes and texture creates compositions charged with energy and emotion.
