Madeline Denaro: Never but Always

Anne Loucks Gallery, 309 Park Avenue in Glencoe, is pleased to present a solo exhibition of paintings by Madeline Denaro. The show, titled Never but Always will open Saturday, November 9th and continue through January 8, 2020. This is the artist’s 4th show with the gallery and first solo show. All are invited to an Opening Reception to celebrate the show and meet the artist on November 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Madeline Denaro’s mixed media paintings combine layers of transparent color with loose, organic lines, and intuitive drips and gestures. Her compositions are abstract in nature, but balanced by an underlying visual order that gradually emerges beneath her fresh, layered surfaces. Through her intuitive and sensitive process of layering, brushwork and mark making, Denaro constantly adjusts, revisits, and renews, presenting a lasting visual narrative of her artistic journey.

Madeline Denaro was born in New York and currently lives and works in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally including a solo show at the Museum of Ft. Lauderdale. The twenty paintings included in this show can be seen at www.loucksgallery.com.
