Hindman’s November 17th Modern Design auction will feature 159 lots of curated and collectible design. The sale will open with a strong selection of Scandinavian design from noteworthy designers such as Hans Wegner, Jens Harald Quistgaard and Josef Frank. The sale will also showcase 47 lots of French and Italian Post-War design from architects and designers such as Pierre Chapo, Charlotte Perriand, Gio Ponti, Gino Sarfatti and Franco Albini.
We are pleased to feature 29 lots of exciting and innovative Studio Craft furniture and pottery from renowned artists and woodworkers including Sam Maloof, Robert Turner, John Ward, Ruth Duckworth, Toshiko Takaezu and Clyde Burt. Closing the auction are 15 rare and compelling works from acclaimed American designer Edward Wormley, whose work for Dunbar helped foster American design of the 20th Century as we know it today.
