Morgan Sims: Camouflage for Earth

Bert Green Fine Art is pleased to present our fourth solo show by Chicago-based painter and neon artist Morgan Sims, and our second solo show by Jeffrey Michael Austin, now based in Austin TX.

In his recent series of paintings, Morgan Sims fuses his previously separate practices of neon and painting into a single approach, combining both media. These works explore randomness, color, and light, and seek to decouple the traditional impulse to orient the works, allowing the paintings to be displayed at any angle or direction. The resulting effect is one of shifting impressions, indeterminate effects, and alternating interpretations.
