Night Visions: Dance & Fine Art Photographer Ren Picco-Freeman

Night Visions is back this fall! Treat yourself to an adventurous evening with program leader Sarah Packer as we meet exceptional Evanston artists in their homes and studios to explore their work, discover their artistic journeys, and view demonstrations of their craft. 

Join us this October in the lovely Evanston home of dance and fine art photographer Ren Picco-Freeman. Discover Ren’s unique perspective while we learn about the special techniques she uses to capture the human body in motion and the beautiful feats of ephemeral athleticism that inspire her work. While Ren shares her artistic vision, we’ll see how she creates a range of emotionally evocative photographs: from joyful, colorful, gravity-defying dancers to black and white images of soulful, dark figures in urban settings. Ren will also discuss her rising career, including her work as the in-house photographer for Moonwater Dance Project and her photo that was chosen as the Chicago Reader’s June 27th cover.
