Night Visions: Jim Bachor Meeting live on Zoom!

Night Visions returns this fall with after-hours visits and live demonstrations at exceptional artists’ studios! Treat yourself to an adventurous evening with Sarah Packer to meet with artists, explore their work, discover their artistic journeys, and experience a live demonstration in the artists' chosen medium.

Artist Jim Bachor knows that there is one thing we can all agree on… our hatred of potholes! This special online event will offer you the opportunity to meet Jim Bachor, whose work has been featured in numerous publications, as we spend an engaging evening getting to know the “Chicago Pothole Artist.” Jim will share the history and humor behind his creations installed in the streets of Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C. and explain how he transforms universally-avoided spaces into delightful and surprising mosaics. We will discover how the artist uses an ancient art form and juxtaposes it with contemporary ideas. As we discuss Jim’s artistic journey, we will uncover his inspirations and hear tales of his clandestine street art adventures. We will also view his “safer” commissions and indoor installations. The evening will close with a live demonstration detailing Jim’s process and choice of materials.
