Night Visions: Midwest Clay Guild

Night Visions returns this spring with after-hours visits and live demonstrations at exceptional artists’ studios! Treat yourself to an adventurous evening with Sarah Packer to meet with artists, explore their work, discover their artistic journeys, and view demonstrations of their craft. 

On Thursday, April 25, enter the Midwest Clay Guild in Skokie for an evening of discovery as we learn about the guild’s history and meet several of the ceramicists who share this expansive studio space. Each artist will share examples of their work and explain the artistic vision behind their functional and sculptural clay pieces. We’ll also get an inside look at the fascinating technical processes and special skills used by these talented artists, from wheel throwing and handbuilding to the transformative alchemy of glazing.
