This is our first solo exhibition of Kim Piotrowski's work — a Chicago based painter we have always admired. The paintings in this exhibition embrace the importance of joy in a time when society is flooded with a myriad of information 24/7. Whether social, political, environmental, or personal, the navigation required in contemporary life is exhausting. Painting affords Piotrowski the space to process the world and solidify her place within it. Through the manipulation of color, line, and space, she creates dynamic compositions that become defiant celebrations. Something beautiful and inexplicable happens by way of abstraction. Perhaps, it is simply the necessary reach for joy in weighted times.

During this exhibition the artist will be keeping open hours every Saturday from 11-2pm
