Intuit is thrilled to be a Cultural Partner of Intersect Chicago this year, and we invite you to join us on Tuesday, November 10, for Outsider Art Day!

ABOUT INTERSECT CHICAGO

Intersect Chicago is a week-long virtual art fair in place of SOFA Chicago (Sculpture Objects Functional Art) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fair represents the intersection of art, design and objects. Each day, it will highlight a different genre or medium, including glass, contemporary art, design, ceramic and craft, outsider art, fiber, and public art and sculpture. Intersect Chicago opens to the public online beginning Friday, November 6, at 12 a.m. central and ends Thursday, November 12, at 8 p.m. central.

JOIN INTUIT FOR OUTSIDER ART DAY
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2020, 10-11:45 A.M. CENTRAL

Calling all Darger fans! Beginning at 10 a.m. central, Intuit kicks off the day’s festivities with an interview between Intuit President and CEO Debra Kerr and art historian Leisa Rundquist, who will discuss her forthcoming book, The Power and Fluidity of Girlhood in Henry Darger’s Art. Following a 15-minute recess, Kerr joins Chief Curator Alison Amick at 11 a.m. central to discuss the challenges and decision-making that resulted in the redesign of the exhibition Outsider Art: The Collection of Victor F. Keen. Intuit concludes the virtual program by going behind-the-scenes of the Henry Darger Room Collection, where Kerr shares insights into the process of preserving and curating that space.
