Parallels and Symmetries

Parallels and Symmetries features the work of artist couple Jessica Gondek and Peter Van Ael. While their work might appear at first glance divergent, the artists share parallel interests in exploring visual dualities through symmetry, pattern, left-right image reversal, and additive-subtractive layering processes. Sharing a studio for more than 30 years in a mutually supportive environment has informed and nurtured a rich and rewarding life in the visual arts. Parallels and Symmetries showcases Gondek’s Ironmades and Van Ael’s Pollinators.
