This group exhibition features works by artists who explore the potential of landscape in contemporary art to contribute to timely conversations about sites of history, belonging, and relationships of labor and land. Working in a diverse range of media, the artists in the exhibition curated by Mariela Acuña reinvent the traditional genre of landscape to explore its possibility to intervene in civic dialogs rooted in place and its histories. Artists include Lydia Cheshewalla, zakkiyyah najeebah dumas o’neal, Norman Long, and Kelly Kristin Jones, Elsa Muñoz and Leticia Pardo.
