Seedneed Talk: A Dialogue on Urban Agriculture Practices, Synergy Gardens Case Study

We would like to share experiences and explore new practices, such as Piuarch’s “Synergy Gardens” project, a network of small edible rooftop gardens located on the top of disadvantaged districts’ Chicago Public Schools aimed at contrasting food desert and foster community empowerment. It will raise awareness of urban agriculture values, fostering urban regeneration, sustainability (water retention&insulation), urban ecology, local economic stimulation, healthy food production and social cohesion.
