Smart to the Core: Medium / Image Gallery Talk on Gerhard Richter

Join Christine Mehring, Mary L. Block Professor of Art History and the College, and Adjunct Curator at the Smart Museum of Art, for a close looking exercise and in-gallery conversation about artist Gerhard Richter’s work, 7. Dez. 2014. On display in Smart to the Core: Medium / Image, the overpainted photograph brings attention to questions of artistic media and the problems and possibilities inherent in both painting and photography.
