The Southeast side of Chicago is an often overlooked and stigmatized neighborhood, blocked by an overcast of misguided interpretation. In the documentary, filmmaker Steven J. Walsh strives to shed light on this neighborhood's near-mythic tale. The screening will feature a musical performance by Walsh's grandfather Roger "Coco" Gomez, whom the film centers on. The screening will conclude with a Q&A with Walsh, Gomez and artist Roman Villarreal, who is featured in the film.
