Stockyard Institute is an ongoing civic and artistic practice founded in 1995 by artist Jim Duignan in Chicago, influenced and shaped by youth, radical teachers, and activists. Together, this continually growing network--rooted in love and care--instrumentalized the arts in Chicago neighborhoods to reimagine social, civic, and personal forms of public engagement through art making, conversation, and relationship building.
Generous support for this exhibition and its associated programming has been provided by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
