Studio Exhibition: Tangled | April 2, 1-4pm
The Evanston Art Center is excited to present Studio Exhibition: Tangled, featuring works by EAC students of Stephanie Funke.
The Zentangle© art method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. These patterns, referred to as tangles, are made with combinations of elemental strokes including lines, dots, simple curves and orbs. Often the patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper known as “tiles.”
The Zentangle© art method’s use of gentle boundaries, structured patterns and one-stroke-at-a-time focus enhances creativity and self-expression and allows for the creation of something beautiful in a relatively short period of time.
For over two years the EAC has offered Zentangle© art method classes with instructor Stephanie Funke, and this exhibit celebrates the work of students who have put pen to paper and created beautiful and unique works of art.
Studio Exhibition: Tangled will be on display in the EAC's Second Floor Hallway Galleries April 1 - April 30, with an opening reception on Sunday, April 2, from 1-4pm. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public. Learn more.
