Tarik Echols: Open presents a survey of work made by the artist between 2011 and 2020 and is his first solo exhibition. Echols builds upon patterns of repeated words, letters and symbols to create drawings rich with color and visual movement. The artist primarily creates his expressive artworks with crayons and watercolors and will occasionally collage found materials into his drawings, adding textures and layers.
