The United Auto Workers Women’s Committee plays an active, radical role in Lordstown’s Local 1112, central to the union’s activism, membership donations, and advocacy for women and childrens’ homeless shelters. They have also battled regressive right-to-work laws in Ohio and participated in the Million Woman Marches. For this discussion, members of the UAW Women’s Committee—Pamela Brown, Chairperson; Marilyn Moore, Retiree Executive Board; and Frances Turnage, committee member—talk with Frazier about their work as it continues both in public and behind the scenes.
