The Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art proudly announces "WE STAND WITH UKRAINE," a concert in support of Ukraine defending its freedom and sovereignty. The event will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, located at 835 N. Oakley Blvd.
This event marks the 12th year since Russia's occupation of Crimea and parts of Eastern Ukraine, as well as the 4th year since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The concert commemorates three years of Ukraine's fight for freedom and sovereignty while raising awareness and funds for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and celebrating Ukrainian resilience and culture.
Tickets for the event are $40, with all proceeds being donated to UMANA and Revived Soldiers Ukraine. The concert will feature performances by the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra alongside Ukrainian musicians, conducted by Michael Holian. The program will highlight music of celebrated composers including Lysenko, Hulak-Artemovsky, Elgar, Skoryk, Verdi, and Webber, offering an unforgettable musical tribute to Ukraine's resilience.
