On Sunday, April 16, from 10 am-12 p.m., join us for a free workshop for children and teens with Zanele Muholi for their launch of a dot-to-dot coloring book "Connect the Dots". Seating is limited, advanced registration is strongly encouraged. Register Here.
Muholi envisions Connect the Dots as a communication tool designed to bring people together and to share with one another. Their ultimate aim is for collectors or interested organizations to purchase the books on behalf of schools and educational institutions. The project forms part of the artist's mission to help develop a younger generation of aspiring artists, thinkers and activists.
"Behind the dots is a treasure trove of stories that lie behind each portrait. This book will keep you or anyone, entertained, connecting to self and sharpening the mind. Welcome to the magical world of dots, portraits and words. Enjoy the winding but fulfilling maze of connecting dots!"- Zanele Muholi
The worskshop is hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) at Columbia College Chicago in partnership with Southern Guild and Expo Chicago. In addition two of Muholi's prints in the MoCPs collection will be on view during this time.
