Here's Looking at You, Chicago

360 CHICAGO, formerly the John Hancock Observatory, recently renovated the Hancock's 94th floor observation deck. You can expect the same stunning 360 degree views overlooking Chicago, but visitors can also look forward to new and improved seating areas (125 people can enjoy sunset views on stadium-style seating), a modernized café and bar (for cocktails, artisanal snacks, or perhaps some gelato), and a new interactive concourse-level display that highlights the history and culture of nine Chicago neighborhoods.

“360 CHICAGO and our parent company, Montparnasse 56, specialize in the operation of world-class cultural and tourist attractions. We strive to completely redefine the guest experience, from our observation deck to all the unique and compelling spaces and experiences throughout,” said Nichole Williamson, general manager, 360 CHICAGO. “The spectacular results of our most recent enhancements are part of a long-term investment we’ve made in our space and in our city, and we couldn’t be more pleased.”

Bronzeville, Bucktown, Hyde Park, Lakeview, Logan Square, Old Town, Pilsen, Wicker Park and Wrigleyville are in the spotlight in the new concourse exhibition, depicted in part through the juried photography of nine local artists. Out of more than 1,200 entries, nine artists were selected as part of 360 CHICAGO's Neighborhood Focus Photo Contest, held in partnership with Chitecture and Choose Chicago, which launched in March of 2015.
