Perspective Gallery is proud to present a new show by fine art photographers, Iris Lutz & Tobin Fraley. Lutz’s exhibit is titled Kissed by City Light while Fraley’s work is called Room 426. In Kissed by City Light, Lutz seeks fragments of poetry in the play of light and shadow when she explores the unique urban charm of Chicago. Light rays beam through narrow spaces between high-rises, sun rays filter through the metal structures of L trains and bridges, stray light sparkles in shadows on brick and alley walls and reflects in windows and water. Iris creates chiaroscuro images where light embraces silhouetted people and buildings and where darkness lays a velvet cover over the city chaos. The photos in the series Kissed by City Light are like the photographer’s words in a love letter to Chicago. On the other hand, Fraley’s exhibit explores the myriad landscapes within the confines of a single hotel room in Fresno, California on a rainy Sunday afternoon, expressed in both words and images.
