Perspective Gallery is pleased to announce its show for January 2024, “Connection/Disconnection.” In this human adventure, connection—with our loves, friends, family, the spirit world, and the natural world around us, is what makes life worth living. What is the nature of this connection? Is it direct, indirect, subtle, overt, obscured, understood or not? On the flip side, disconnection can bring pain, isolation and confusion, whether that happens through conflict, trauma, or even responses to our race, nationality or religious beliefs.
For this themed exhibit, Perspective members were asked to submit images “covering the gamut of ways that we connect as humans to others, to the natural world, to the spirit world - or portraying disconnection or isolation, the feeling of being excluded or left behind.” During the selection process, twenty-two images were chosen representing the interpretations of the following artists: Nelson Armour, William Bridges, Jeffrie Chirchirillo, Jane Feeley, Tobin Fraley, Alexa Frangos, Steve Geer, Doug Haight, William Harper, Anthony Iacuzzi, Susan Isaacson, Katsy Johnson, Iris Lutz, Suzanne Metzel, Kaushik Sunder Rajan, Monica Kass Rogers, Christopher Schneberger, Paula Shur, Donna Wesley Spencer, Bob Tanner, Verna Todd, and Christopher Walker.
