The Kim Storage Gallery is thrilled to present "Memorable Ordinary," an exhibition by Wisconsin- based mixed media artist Megan Woodard Johnson. Her art delves into the rich landscape of everyday experiences, layering vintage paper ephemera, paint, and found objects to evoke nostalgia and shared histories. Johnson’s works, such as "New Box of Crayons" and "Walks to School," capture the beauty of seemingly mundane moments that resonate universally. The exhibition kicks off with an opening reception on July 19th from 5 to 9 PM, followed by an artist talk on July 20th at 1:30 PM. Join us to explore the intricate and colorful narratives Johnson weaves into her compelling mixed media pieces.
“I love those moments in your life when you think that you have ... this personal thing and then you meet somebody that also has a similar memory or sort of fondness for that thing. There’s an immediate connection then that you have...” – Megan Woodard Johnson, from the Authentic Obsessions with Margret Petrie Podcast
