Perspective Gallery presents 28 Days, a solo photography exhibit by Nelson W. Armour.
During May 2022, Perspective Gallery will host a new, solo exhibit by fine art photographer and Perspective Group member, Nelson W. Armour. Armour’s work, titled 28 Days, explores his progress through radiation treatments for prostate cancer. The work arose from issues and emotions related to longevity, trauma, malignancy, loss and the future, stemming from his diagnosis and subsequent 28 days of treatment. On his drive to the hospital each day, Armour stopped at South Beach in Evanston and photographed the same scene, with its variability, its moods, its challenges and its colors. Accompanying these images in the exhibit are constructed works exploring how advanced technologies impact people’s health.
Due to the recent rise of Covid-19 cases, the Opening Reception will now be a registered “timed-entry” event from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Masks will be required. Please register HERE.
Nelson Armour will discuss his work at a virtual artist’s reception on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 7 p.m. Attendees to the virtual artist discussion are asked to register HERE. The exhibit will close on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
